Human Rights – Yukon

In June 2017, the Yukon Legislative Assembly passed amendments to the Human Rights Act prohibiting harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender identity or gender expression. As of March 2018, an updated Yukon Human Rights Act has been published, including gender identity and gender expression in Part 2, s 7 (f.01). The Yukon Human Rights Commission’s website now also explicitly mentions gender identity or gender expression as protected grounds.

The Yukon Human Rights Commission administers the Human Rights Act. For more information on protected grounds or how to file a complaint, please visit the Commission’s website.
